Police: Man Hid Marijuana in Gas Tank

OBION COUNTY, Tenn. - A Kentucky man is behind bars in Union City after a Drug Task Force Agent reportedly found marijuana in the man's truck and gas tank.

According to a news release from the 27th Judicial Drug Task Force, Agent Scott Watkins conducted a traffic stop on a pickup truck driven by Damon Logan, of Greenville, Kentucky, Tuesday.

During the stop, Agent Watkins's K-9 partner Kodiak reportedly alerted him to the presence of narcotics in the vehicle.

Watkins reported finding four pounds of marijuana underneath a bed liner of the truck. After continued investigation of the vehicle, the gas tank was found to have had 37 packages of marijuana inside it.

Officials said Agent Watkins seized 80 pounds of marijuana which had an estimated street value of $80,000.

Damon Logan, 40, is charged with possession of marijuana with intent to sell/deliver. He is being held in the Obion County Jail until his arraignment on Thursday.
