Police Searching for Man Wanted for Pistol Whipping and Shooting

JACKSON, Tenn. – Jackson police are looking for a man who allegedly assaulted two women last week.

According to investigators, Jonas Bernard Reid is wanted for two counts of aggravated assault. On October 3, Reid is believed to have struck a woman in the face with a gun, which left the victim with a fractured jaw.

Reid is also accused of shooting a 16-year-old girl on the evening of Octover 5. In that incident, investigators said Reid and another man were arguing at a home on Brentwood Drive. The 16-year-old girl reportedly interveined and tried to break up the argument when Reid fired a gun twice. One of the bullets struck the girl in the right ankle.

Police said Reid is around 5' 11" and weighs about 160 pounds. His last known address is on the 20 block of Brianfield Cv. in Jackson.
