"Prank" Leaves Cars With Thousands In Damage

CHESTER COUNTY, Tenn. - Even though Halloween is over, one family is dealing with a ghoulish prank that is going to cost them.
Rebbecca Faulkner said she was devastated to find her brand new car covered in black paint.

"I just wanted to cry. I was very devastated that someone would actually do something like this to us. I just want to know why, why us what did we do to totally have our cars destroyed like this?," said Faulkner.

Vandals used black spray paint all over her husband's white pick-up truck and her white car they even spelled the word,"Boo" on the truck.

Faulkner said her husband discovered the vandalism, Thursday morning while heading out to work. She does not understand why someone would want to damage the family's vehicles.

"I just don't know who would be mad at us to do something like this to us. It's kind a heartbreaking to know there's somebody's who could ruin someone's vehicle they worked really hard for," said Faulkner.

Faulkner just bought the car a few months ago and wants who ever vandalized it caught.

"The damage is that it hurt, it hurt us, it hurt our family and scared our children," said Faulkner.

According to Henderson Police, another white car was spray painted in Faulkner's neighborhood.

Faulkner said it will be expensive to remove the black paint.
Faulkner said after speaking with her insurance company, it will cost about $5,000 to fix both cars.
