Preparations Underway for West TN Healthcare Gala
JACKSON, Tenn.- After one year of planning, event coordinators are putting together the final preparations for the 23rd annual West Tennessee Healthcare Foundation's Charity Gala.
The gala will be held at the Carl Perkins Civic Center in downtown Jackson and will honor collegiate sports legend and Head Coach Emeritus of the UT Lady Volunteers, Pat Head Summit.
During the event, Coach Summit will receive the Tigrett Award, which honors those who have greatly contributed to the society through their talents and leadership.
Summit was chosen for this event for being the All-Time Winningest NCAA Coach.
Event coordinator, Lori White explained the excitement in the air for Coach Summit, "There's a level of excitement because she is coming, but this community embraces this gala. It's one of the largest they have and people come from out of the wood works to help."
All proceeds will benefit Ayers Children's Medical Center and the Kirkland Cancer Center at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital.
