Prescription Drug Bust one of the Largest in Jackson History

JACKSON, Tenn.- Jackson Police and members of the new multi-jurisdictional Violent Crime and Drug Task Force have arrested a man suspected of dealing high-dollar prescription pills.

George Ward, 45, of Murfressboro was arrested inside a home on Archwood Drive, Friday. Officers said they found more than 6,600 prescription pills with a street value of close to $90,000. Morphine, hydrocodone and adderall were just some of the drugs recovered.
This operation is being called one of the largest drug busts of its kind in Jackson.

Ward, who faces several drug counts, had his bond set at $100,000.
