Pulitzer Prize Winning Author Shares Love for Libraries
JACKSON, Tenn. - Pulitzer Prize winning author Rick Bragg shared insight about being a writer to a crowd of dozens in downtown Jackson, Tuesday.
Bragg was the featured speaker at the Aeneas Building during a fundraiser for the Jackson-Madison County Library.
"I don't think that there would be any writers, if it wasn't for libraries," said Bragg. "Most of us grew up in houses where all the books were borrowed." Bragg went on to say how grateful he is for good libraries.
Organizers declined to share how much money was raised from the event. This is the third year for this kind of fundraiser for the JMC Library.
