JACKSON, Tenn.--Hundreds of people attended the annual Summer Celebration Lawn and Garden Show on Thursday.

The event kicked off at 9 a.m. at the West Tennessee Ag Research and Education Center off Airways Boulevard.

People got to learn about animals, tour the gardens, and hear from gardening experts. “Learn about the plants, the plant materials, gardening, you know their landscape,” said director Bob Hayes.

The center had a plant sale and cooking demonstration. “We've got a lot of exhibitors here,” said Hayes. “Some of our more popular things are the Kitchen Divas. They're cooking and they have a tasting panel in there.”

This is the event’s 24th year.
