Residents Fish For Free

Dozens of families were out at Muse Park and other state waters Saturday afternoon for Free Fishing Day in Tennessee. Saturday, Tennessee Public Waters were open to all which meant those wanting to fish did not have to buy a license.

The Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency sponsored the Annual Free Fishing Day event. The perks have been extended to youngsters ages 13 to 15. They may fish without a license from Saturday through Friday June 15th.

The TWRA said the state has one of the most diverse collections of fish in the country in 29 major reservoirs across the state.
