JACKSON, Tenn.- Jackson Police took some time Tuesday away from their busy patrol duties and once again met with the community.

Police Chief Gill Kendrick in cooperation with area McDonald's restaurants once again hosted "Coffee with a Cop."

Officers were at the McDonald's on Stonebrook Place, where they were able to talk with residents face-to-face and get their feedback and suggestions on how the police department can better serve the community.

Attendees told WBBJ 7 Eyewitness News they believe this type of event is a great way to help officers and to help the community.

"They have a tremendous job to do there are all types of social issues that they have to faceand deal with and collectively. I think they are doing a good job for the people of Jackson," said Cliff Morris, who attended the event.

Attendees were also handed a 10-question survey to give even more input to the police department.
