Rotarians Donate Food to RIFA

JACKSON, Tenn. – Members of a local civic club donated a large amount of food to a local charity just in time for Christmas.

Jackson Rotary Club members collected and donated more than 1,000 pounds of food to the Regional Interfaith Association during their luncheon, Wednesday.

Club leaders said RIFA will be able to use and distribute the food during the holiday season to those in need.

Rotarian Scott Conger said, “RIFA does great things with their food such as their food pantry and soup kitchen. They help the needy and it becomes our responsibility, as a service club, to help those who help others.”

The Regional Interfaith Association serves more than 49,000 meals each year to people in need in the Jackson community.
