JACKSON, Tenn.- The Jackson Rotary Club took time Wednesday to recognize area veterans.

At their Noon lunch meeting, club members honored veterans in the community who have served in the U.S, military. The Bethel University band provided the music for today's event.

Organizers said the program is just another opportunity to thank veterans and give recognition to those who served.

"We have got to leave no veteran behind," said Thomas Buck, a Vietnam veteran. "We have got to go out research it talk to them and most of all give them a handshake. Give them a hug. Tell them how proud you are of them and welcome them home."

Wednesday's recognition of veterans comes days before Veterans Day, which is November 11.
