JACKSON, Tenn. - Sacred Heart of Jesus High School hosted its first Holiday Home Tours event. Five Jackson residents volunteered their beautifully decorated homes for the tour in north Jackson.

Sacred Heart, being a new school used the Holiday Home Tour to raise money for the school by selling tickets to the event.

"This is a great way to introduce [Sacred Heart] to the community because so many people came by to see the church and then toured the homes." commented Jackson resident Peaches Waller.

The homes on the tour were beautifully decorated on the inside and out and even inspired some of the attendees of the event.

"There were just beautiful elaborate decorations and some you could even do yourself....just great ideas," said Janice Faulkner.

Even though this was the event's first year, there was an excellent turn out. "I bet this will be an annual thing it was such a success," commented Faulkner.

Coordinators of the event said they had hoped to raise between $3,000 and $5,000 but the success of this event exceeded their expectations.
