MCNAIRY COUNTY, Tenn. - Utility workers are attempting to repair phone lines and electricity after overnight storms, Wednesday.
Bethel Springs Elementary School received roof damage during the night. Those hardest hit were homeowners now dealing with the damage.
"I heard things falling and glass breaking," said Joy Watkins.
Watkins said she believes her brother came in a dream to warn her.
"My brother came and tapped me on the neck and said, 'I'm sad' and he was crying. He lives in Illinois," said Watkins.
Two-thirds of Jackie Miller's house is full of water.
"Sounds like somebody dragging something across the roof of the house and I really didn't know what it was until water started pouring into the house," said Miller.
The McNairy County Sheriff's Department set up their command center in the middle of town for residents wanting information, food and water.
Watkins said, even though her house is ruined, she knew there is a reason for the damage. "There's got to be a blessing in this somewhere. I know there is."
