CARROLL CO. Tenn.- A semi-truck slammed into a home near Huntingdon off Highway 70 Friday afternoon causing severe damage to the house.

The homeowner spoke with WBBJ 7 Eyewitness News shortly after the crash. Woody Horn said he was in his front yard when he saw the truck lose control.

"It was time for me to go," exclaimed Horn, who took off running and was only 10 feet from the crash.

The driver of the truck was not on the scene when our crew was there. Horn says no one was hurt, and the driver walked away without a scratch.

Crews were originally worried when they pulled the truck out the roof would collapse, because the right front tire of the semi hit a support beam in the home. Horn said he is thankful his home held up.

"Right now I just want the insurance company to come look at it and we will go from there," said Horn.

Horn's wife was not a home during the time of the crash. The couple said they will stay at a motel until they can start the clean up process.

The Tennessee Highway Patrol was also on the scene. Right now it is unknown why the driver lost control of the semi.
