Shepard Pleads Guilty to Drug Charge

An Adamsville woman facing federal drug charges has turned government witness and pleaded guilty to one of three charges she faces.
Mitzi Shepard, 48, has pleaded guilty to having the ingredients and equipment necessary to make meth when she was arrested last August. She has also agreed to testify for federal prosecutors against other suspects.
According to prosecutors, Shepard faces up to 10 years in prison and up to a $250,000 fine.
