Shoney's in Jackson Closed

Tuesday turned out to be a sad day for Hub City residents who loved strawberry pie from a north Jackson restaurant.

Shoney's on North Highland Avenue, which has been open since the 1960s, will no longer be serving the West Tennessee area.

Employees said when they showed up for work, Tuesday morning a note was taped on the front door stating it was no longer open for business. Shoney's has been in Jackson for more than 40 years.
