Shooting Suspect Sentenced

JACKSON, Tenn.- The Jackson man found guilty last month of shooting a woman after having sex with her on a Madison County field road was sentenced Monday to 30 years in prison without parole.
Alvin Waller, Junior, 36, was found guilty in September of attempted voluntary manslaughter, aggravated assault, and especially aggravated kidnapping.
Investigators said Waller shot the woman in the head, while parked behind Grace Baptist Church on Highway 70 East on August 16 of last year. Amazingly, she was not seriously hurt.
