JACKSON, Tenn.- A Jackson man is recovering after being shot while inside his apartment, Wednesday night. Police said he was an innocent victim hit in a spray of gunfire.
Just before 7:30 p.m., officers rushed to East Pointe Apartments on Daughtery Street after reports of several gunshots and a man being hit in an upstairs apartment.
Officers said it appears a red car in the parking lot took most of the gunfire. The victim, who was hit in the backside, told officers he heard the shots and told his girlfriend to hit the floor.
