Shots Fired Investigated on Holland Avenue

JACKSON, Tenn.- Police are investigating a shooting in east Jackson.

Police told 7 Eyewitness News at least one person was hit and a car was shot up.

A few minutes after nine o'clock when calls started coming in to police from people who live near Holland Avenue who said they had heard at least 10 shots fired.

When officers arrived, they said a man told them the gunmen appeared to be shooting at him. Though he had not been hit, he said his car was damaged.

Then about half an hour later, around 9:30 p.m., officers were called to Jackson-Madison County General Hospital where a man had come to the ER with a gunshot wound to his arm.

Officers said he live along Cloverdale, which is a cross-street of Holland Avenue. No suspect information is available at this time.
