Shots fired at normally "quiet" apartment complex

EAST JACKSON -- Police say shots are fired in what residents are calling a normally quiet area.

Police say it happened at Park Trace Apartments in East Jackson. According to investigators, the shots fired call went out just after 10:30 Tuesday night.

An officer who went to the apartment found that a building had been hit. Residents who live at Park Trace say they don't hear gunfire very often.

"It's not common at all, our property manager really aims to keep it safe," Stephen Simmons said, a Park Trace resident. "And while she's been here its been like really safe."

Police did not say which building was hit, and nobody was hurt. If you have any information that can lead to an arrest, contact Crime Stoppers at 731-424-TIPS
