Small Businesses Gear Up For Saturday Shoppers
JACKSON, Tenn. - Between the notorious Black Friday and Cyber Monday there is a day where small businesses get a chance to shine.
Alley 2 Avenue workers are setting up loads of bargains to get ready. Owner Cindy Overton said she has been open for less than a month and is excited for shoppers to visit her market place of deals.
"We decide it would be a good way to introduce us to the public for the first time to come in," said Cindy Overton, owner of Alley 2 Avenue.
Amanda Wells said she supports small businesses because she knows what it feels like to be a part of one.
"I also have small businesses of my own so I want to be supported in West Tennessee so I want to support those who have small businesses in West Tennessee," said Wells.
Overton said its more than providing jobs in the area she gives back to the community through mentoring programs and donations.
"I think its a great idea for the community to be aware of small businesses and I know as a business owner I appreciate it when people come in because they chose to come here," said Overton.
