Supt. King to Leave Haywood County

BROWNSVILLE, Tenn. - Haywood County School Superintendent Marlon King told the school board, Tuesday evening, he is leaving the district.

According to Board Chairman Harold Garrett, Dr. King informed the board he is accepting a job with the State Department of Education in which he will oversee school systems in southwest Tennessee.

Dr. King did not submit an official resignation letter. Garrett said until that happens, the board is not moving forward with appointing or searching for a new district leader.
