Suspects Wanted in Carjacking, Armed Robbery

JACKSON, Tenn.- A carjacking, armed robbery and pistol whipping has Jackson police on the lookout for two suspects.

Officers said around 8 p.m. Friday night a driver was stopped at the intersection of Robin Lane and Ridgemont when he said two black men with guns jumped in the car and made him drive around.

The suspects are accused of pistol whipping the driver and stealing his cash and cell phone. Neighbors who live in the area say crime is becoming more of a concern in their area.

"Coming to a stop sign and just mugging you like that, that's getting pretty bad because I don't want to pull out of my driveway and stop at the stop sign up here and then somebody, they could pull a gun on you or kill you," said Brenda Price, who lives near where the robbery occurred.

Police said the victim who was hit in the head with the gun got checked by EMTs on the scene and declined further treatment.

If you have any information that can help, call Jackson Police at (731) 425-8400 or Crime Stoppers at (731) 424-TIPS (8477).
