JACKSON, Tenn. - A suspicious suitcase outside a business near the Highway 45 Bypass in west Jackson caused enough concern to bring the Jackson Police Department's Bomb Squad out.
Just before noon, Friday, a bomb officer used an x-ray to scan the black suitcase that was found on the ground beside the building. The scan showed there were no explosives in the bag, which allowed the bomb technician to open the case.
The officer reported finding personal items in the suitcase, mostly clothing. Officers said it would be up to the business owner to dispose of the case and its contents.
A few parking lots were closed off while officers worked but not evacuations took place.
