Two Memphis Men Charged with thefts from Area Walmarts
BROWNSVILLE, Tenn. - Two Memphis men are jailed and charged in multiple thefts from Mid-South Walmart stores including ones in Brownsville and Selmer.
According to a news release from Brownsville police, Tyrone Bernard, 19, and Daniel Robinson, 18, were arrested in Osceola, Arkansas. The pair is believed to be responsible for between 10 and 15 similar thefts in West Tennessee, North Mississippi and Eastern Arkansas.
Thursday morning, Selmer police confirmed the pair will be charged with a similar theft at the Walmart in their city.
The total amount of merchandise taken in all of the thefts is in excess of $100,000, with one of the suspects allegedly displaying a handgun when confronted by store employees at a Batesville, Mississippi Walmart.
Both suspects are being held in Arkansas without bond. Warrants charging the pair with theft over $10,000 have been issued for the thefts in Brownsville.
The suspects were identified with the help of Batesville Mississippi Police and Collierville Police.
