TBI Arrests Mother For Endangering Infant Son
MEMPHIS, Tenn. – The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation arrested the mother of a Lauderdale County infant who died earlier this year while in her care after she was indicted by the Lauderdale County grand jury Monday night.
Tori Alexandria Pease, 21, of Halls, Tenn. was charged with one count of attempted aggravated child endangerment. On May 10, 2013, the 25th Judicial District Attorney General requested TBI to investigate the death of 7-month-old Haiden Colvin.
Pease was sleeping on a mattress on the floor next to a mattress for the children and woke to find Haiden between the two mattresses unresponsive. An ambulance took the infant to Baptist Lauderdale where he was pronounced dead. The Halls Police Department was also involved in the investigation.
Pease was booked into the Lauderdale County Jail on $1,000 bond.
