TN Electric Cooperatives Sends Volunteers to Help Restore Power

JACKSON, Tenn.- As Sandy ravages the Atlantic Seaboard, 60 line workers from Tennessee's electric cooperatives are already in place to help restore power once the storm subsides.

Eight of the state's cooperatives, including ones from Brownsville and Somerville are sending volunteer line workers and equipment top Virginia and Maryland.

Tennessee's Mountain Electric Cooperative in Mountain City is expecting more than 10 inches of snow in its service area as a result of the storm.
