Teen Charged in Brownsville Murder to be Tried as Adult

BROWNSVILLE, Tenn. - The teen charged in the murder of his friend, Jamal Sain, while they were in Brownsville will be tried as an adult.

According to Brownsville police, Samuel Finnie, 17, did not shoot Sain, but did cause the gunfire that killed him.

On May 31, investigators determined Finnie fired shots on Norris Street that prompted others to fire back at his vehicle. Sain was shot in the head as he sat in the passenger's seat. He died from his injury.

Court records show Finnie is charged with attempted first degree murder, felony murder and reckless endangerment.
