Trio Arrested in Meth Production Bust

WEST JACKSON, Tenn. - What started as a suspicious persons call ended in three arrests for methamphetamine production.

Jackson officers approached a convenience store on Hollywood Drive to find Keith Jones, 18, Clyde Nichols, 23 and Ida Crowley, 18 present on the property. Upon sighting the officers, Keith Jones fled the scene on foot, but was apprehended a short time later and returned to the scene.

Further investigation led the officers to discover a portable methamphetamine lab located inside a backpack that was in the trio’s possession.

The subjects were placed under arrest and transported to the Madison County Criminal Justice Complex.

Jones was charged with Initiation of Methamphetamine Manufacture, Possession of Methamphetamine, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Unlawful Possession of a Firearm, Possession of a Prohibited Weapon and Resisting Arrest.

Nichols, Jr., was charged with Initiation of Methamphetamine Manufacture and Felony Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

Crowley was charged with Initiation of Methamphetamine Manufacture and Felony Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

All three are currently being held at the Madison County Criminal Justice Complex and awaiting arraignment in Jackson City Court.
