MADISON COUNTY, Tenn.- Deputies said the ATM stolen from a bank last weekend has been recovered in the woods near Three Way.

The machine, minus the thousands of dollars in cash, was found along with the truck used to haul it away, just off Antioch Road early Thursday afternoon.

The truck, according to deputies, was reported stolen to the Jackson Police Department this past weekend as well.

Madison County investigators said a deer hunter spotted the vehicle and called 911.

"We have officers processing the scene, processing the vehicle along with the ATM machine," said Sheriff David Woolfork of Madison County.

The ATM was taken early Sunday morning from a bank in Three Way. The thieves used a forklift stolen from the McDonald's construction site in Medina.

A similar theft was reported recently in Alabama, but investigators are not saying if they are related.
