Two Accused of Shooting in a Park

HUMBOLDT, Tenn.- A shootout in Humboldt's 6th Street Park, Wednesday evening has landed two people in jail.

Kelsey Rose, 25, was arrested in Jackson, Thursday on six charges including attempted first degree murder.

Investigators say his intended victim, Michael Beard, was wanted on five charges including reckless endangerment. He has not been arrested.

Investigators said after an argument Rose started shooting, with Beard returning fire. Officers said it happened near other parkgoers, including children.

Rose remained jailed in lieu of $100,000 bond. I you know where Beard can be found, call Humboldt Police at (731) 784-1322.
