JACKSON, Tenn. - A West Tennessee couple is behind bars Saturday for allegedly retrieving a package that contained more than three pounds of marijuana.
On Friday, Metro Narcotics and Jackson police officers arrested 34-year-old Marlon Taylor of Ripley, and 28-year-old Lakeisha Currie, of Jackson.
Officers said they saw the pair pick up the parcel, which contained $5,400 worth of marijuana, at a North Jackson location in two cars they believe were bought with drug money, and used for drug trafficking.
Both have been charged with possession of marijuana, with intent to sell or distribute.
They are being held in the Madison County Jail, where they await arraignment.
