Two Arrested by Metro Narcotics

JACKSON, Tenn. - Jackson-Madison County Metro Narcotics arrested two suspected drug dealers while serving a search warrant on a home in west Jackson, Thursday.
Cordareous Devonte Reid, 22, and Montez Deon Butler, 21, both of Jackson, each face charges of possession of marijuana with intent to sell or distribute, possession of cocaine with intent to sell or distribute, possession of a firearm in the commission of a dangerous felony and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Officers served the warrant at Reid's home on Woodberry Trail and found both men inside. A search of the home uncovered 145.3 grams of marijuana in multiple packages, 2.2 grams of powder cocaine in multiple packages, approximately .7 gram of crack cocaine, a loaded 12 gauge sawed-off shotgun, three digital scales and additional packaging materials.
The seized drugs have an estimated street value of more than $700. A 2000 Nissan Altima and $1,024 in cash were also seized under the civil forfeiture laws of the Tennessee Drug Control Act.
As of late Thursday, Reid and Butler were awaiting arraignment in Jackson City Court. Both men are currently in the Madison County Jail.
