Two dead, one injured after two Sunday shootings
Jackson, Tenn.-The Jackson Police Department confirms two shootings in the city, Sunday, left two dead and injured another.
The first happened at approximately 1:26 p.m. at a duplex in the 2000 block of North Royal Street. A 20-year-old Jackson man was shot outside the duplex. He was later pronounced dead at the hospital.
At approximately 5:07 p.m., police were called about two people shot outside the apartment complex at 33 Carver Avenue. A 21-year-old man and 17-year-old male teen, both of Jackson, had been hit.
According to investigators, the 17-year-old died from his injuries. The 21-year-old man remains at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital in critical but stable condition.
Neither of the victims names have been released pending notification of next-of-kin.
No arrest have been made. Officers are not saying if the two shootings are connected.
