VFW To Vote On Selling Jackson Land
NORTH JACKSON, Tenn. -- Members of a North Jackson VFW post are voting on whether or not to sell the city of Jackson land needed for a new recreational facility.
The land would be used as an access point for a new tennis facility to be located on part of the Old Highland Green Golf Course property.
Members were able to vote this past Saturday and will again vote this Saturday on the proposal.
The Jackson City Council passed measures to purchase 20 acres of the Old Highland Green Golf Course for $200,000 and 3.4 acres from the VFW for $46,000 to build a new tennis complex in the northern part of the city.
Results will be announced on Saturday.
