CORINTH, Miss. - Veterans and former Marines at VFW Post 3962 held a special memorial to honor Cpl. Jacob Wooley, 23, who was one of the three Marines killed in the Quantico Marine base shooting.

"Once a marine always a marine," said Marine Veteran Benjamin Baker.

"It makes no difference who it is, what their rank is, or anything else if they're a marine and they're killed on active duty or any other way, we want to honor their service."

The flag in front of the VFW was lowered to half-staff, and they say it will remain that way for seven days.

"It's hard to hear about any of our young service people that lose their life, regardless of what branch of service they are in," said Post Commander Bill Parker.

The Veterans say they did not know Wooley personally, but they will be there to support the family and community in any way that they can.

"We take care of our own and we live by that rule," said Parker.

"That includes the family. We will be their for anything that family needs."

Investigators have not released a possible motive in the shooting and say it is still under investigation.
