JACKSON, Tenn- Wednesday' history lesson for some elementary school students involved a lot more than just opening their books and reading about the past.

About 50 students, ranging from pre-K to 5th grade got the opportunity to chose their favorite person to represent in a Black History Wax Museum.

Teachers at the school said it is an event the students anticipate each year.

"They look forward to displaing their talent they look forward to learning things new they look forward to going up and down the halls and seeing the other students and what they are doing," said Schwanda Montgomery of Arlington Elementary School.

This is the third year the school has held the Black History Wax Museum for the students.
