Weakley Co. Deputies Investigating Double Homicide

WEAKLEY CO. Tenn.- Weakley County deputies are investigating a double homicide, that officers said happened at a home along Shade Bridge Road near Greenfield, Wednesday.
Sheriff Mike Wilson told WBBJ 7 Eyewitness News the double murder happened around 4:30pm, Wednesday afternoon. Deputies arrested Eric McAlister, 40. He is believed to have killed his father, David McAlister, 61, and a neighbor, Tim Betts, 52.
Investigators said David McAlister died after being hit by a vehicle, and Betts died from gunshot wounds.
Sheriff Wilson could not confirm a possible motive, but said Eric McAlister also had a gunshot wound. He was being held in the Weakley County Detention Center, but Sheriff Wilson said charges have not been filed as of Wednesday night.
