West Tennesseans say summer 2014 will see record highs
EAST JACKSON -- It's the first weekend of summer and the day after the season begins temperatures are already steaming.
People stopped at muse park this afternoon to play Frisbee and throw birthday parties, despite the hot and humid weather.
Sunday's temperatures have had a high of 90 degrees, and most residents already agree that summer 2014 is sure to be one for the books.
"The winter was so long and its just now becoming summer and it's been hot," Vivian Perkins said, a local mother.
"It's always been pretty hot and pretty humid here in Tennessee," Matt Joyner said, a college senior. "I'm a runner so I always kind of dread the training in the summer."
