JACKSON, Tenn. - The American Red Cross of Jackson area chapter is sending two of their own volunteers to help those being impacted by Hurricane Sandy.
The volunteers left Saturday afternoon for Ashburn, Virginia after the American Red Cross' National Operation Center in Washington, D.C. asked for help.
Officials said the volunteers will be sending out food, and cleanup kits for people whose homes are flooded.
They will start preparing the supplies Monday, and will likely be away for two to three weeks.
