West Tennessee Man Struck By Lightning, Survives
CHESTER COUNTY, Tenn. -- First responders are crediting rubber soles as the reason Frankey McNeal's is still alive after being struck by lightning on Sunday.
Around 4 p.m, McNeal went outside holding his umbrella. Then all of a sudden, he says he was on the ground. McNeal says this was the last thing he remembered.
The lightning struck the umbrella, which sent the current through his hands and down to his feet.
Doctors say he is lucky to be alive.
"Real lucky to be alive, real lucky," McNeal said. "I owe it all to God. I guess he is the man that controlled everything. I have to give it up to him."
