"Wine Down the Alley" Held Downtown

Downtown Jackson was busy with music and artists showing off their artwork.

The Jackson Downtown Development Corporation held its "Wine Down the Alley" event, Thursday evening.

Various artists set up booths throughout Court Alley, displaying their original artwork. Also, Wine tastings were offered so participants could test the newest available wines.

There was also a "Taste of Downtown" set up with downtown eateries offering samples of their favorite food items.

"We just wanted to showcase this historic alley and a lot of people remember it and its a great pedestrian alley for walking back and forth," said Caroline Wells, event coordinator for Jackson Downtown Development Corporation.

Organizers said they plan to make Wine Down the Alley an annual event.
