Woman Reportedly Followed and Shot At In North Jackson

JACKSON, Tenn- Police are still looking for a man they said shot at a woman early this morning in a quiet North Jackson neighborhood.

According to police the woman was driving near Fairway Boulevard and Moize Cut-Off Road when someone shot at her from a Nissan Maxima. She was able to drive to the Northside Station Post Office parking lot, where someone called for help.

Police said the suspect drove away but later crashed into a utility pole near North Royal Street. Residents were shocked to learn something like this happened so close to their home.

"We were just leaving to go to the gym," said Christina Jones. "It could have been us."
