Woman Killed in Fire in Bradford Identified
BRADFORD, Tenn. - On Friday, Bradford police released the name of the woman who lost her life in a house fire in January.
A state medical examiner has positively identified her as Terry Drury, 29, of Bringhamton, New York. Her cause of death was determined to be smoke inhalation and burns.
A toxicology report did not find any presence of drugs. However, it did find a small amount of alcohol.
Court records show her traveling companion and boyfriend, Robert Lee Phillips, faces charges of vandalism and reckless burning. His next court appearance is scheduled for April 23. No new charges are expected to be filed against him.
Police believe the two were living illegally inside an abandoned house when it caught fire.
