Woman in Wheelchair Hit by Car
JACKSON, Tenn. - A woman in a wheelchair has been hospitalized with minor injuries after police said she was hit by a car just after 12:30 p.m., Wednesday. The woman was hit while crossing North Highland at Deadrick Street.
Officers said the woman was crossing at an appropriate location, but the driver did not see her. The woman was thrown onto the roof of the car and landed in the road.
Officers said they did not expect to file any criminal charges.
