JACKSON, Tenn.- Leaders of Go Red 4 Women stopped traffic for heart disease along North Highland, Monday.

The group of women flooded the street near Old Hickory Mall to bring awareness to the number one killer of women.

Many of the participants have very personal reasons for getting involved struggling with the disease themselves or having experienced it through family and friends.

"I think women should support women, I think we all should support one another because it is the number one killer, heart disease that is," said Anita Kay Archer, of Go Red For Women.

The organization is planning a G Red for Women event on April 25.
