2 teens convicted of murder in soldier's death

CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (AP) - A jury has convicted two Tennessee men charged with killing a Fort Campbell solder who was giving them a ride home.

The Leaf-Chronicle (http://leafne.ws/1bvz3Mj) reports that jurors in Montgomery County returned Thursday with the verdict against 19-year-old Giovanne Treymane Johnson and 18-year-old Rakeem Rashan Jones.

They were convicted of second-degree murder, felony murder and especially aggravated robbery in the death of 22-year-old Spc. Taylor Hotzoglou.

The soldier was shot multiple times on April 28 in Clarksville, Tenn., after giving the two teenagers a ride. He was found by a passer-by dead in his car.

The newspaper reports the teens will be sentenced on Nov. 26.
