Bond Set for Molestation Case
In Mississippi bond has been set at $75,000 for a 65-year-old man accused of molesting a girl under the age of ten.
The charges are unlawful touching of a child for lustful purposes and sexual battery of a child.
Sheriff Mike Byrd says his office had received a complaint about a week ago alleging Harold Thomas Butler had been molesting a child.
Byrd says investigators went to arrest him last week at his home in the Escatawpa community in northeast Jackson County, but he wasn't there.
He says Butler turned himself in Friday.
It could not be determined if Butler has an attorney.
