Booster Club Treasurer Steals Profits
A former high school athletic booster club treasurer has pleaded guilty to stealing money from the organization.
According to The Kentucky Enquirer, forty-four-year-old Shelli Slusher of Fort Mitchell told a judge on Monday that she took money from the Beechwood Athletic Boosters.
Slusher's sentencing was set for May 22. A plea agreement requires Slusher to repay the booster club at Beechwood High School more than $31,000. Officials of the organization believe she took nearly twice that much, but prosecutors could prove only the lower figure.
Neither Slusher nor her attorney would comment following the hearing in Kenton Circuit Court
