Death of Man Found in River Called 'Suspicious'
Kentucky State Police say a body found in the Ohio River on Father's Day is that of a man and the death appears suspicious.
Trooper Corey King says that an autopsy was performed Monday in Louisville, but the Kentucky State Medical Examiner has not released the findings.
The decomposing body was spotted in the water shortly after noon Sunday by people walking along the banks of the Ohio River. The corpse was in the area between the U.S. 41 twin bridges and Marina Point near the Indiana shore.
Investigators are still trying to establish the person's identity.
King says the Evansville Police Department has joined in the investigation, which has been under way since Sunday.
